SENIOR SCIENTIST - FORMULATION

A new opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent Senior Formulations Scientist. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in Nanoparticles/Biomaterials/polymers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

​​

• Proactively drive development of nanoparticle formulations for mRNA pharmaceuticals.

• Design study plans to optimize formulations for given RNA constructs and therapeutic intervention.

• Develop nanoparticle manufacturing technologies for in-house application and transfer to external (GMP) facilities.

• Closely interact with other teams, e.g., RNA synthesis, biology, analytics, inside the NeoVac.

• Prepare documents and reports to management and to internal and external partners.

• Assure high quality standards of experimental research and development work in the laboratory.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

​

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, Biology, Physics or related with focus on Bio- / Nano-materials.

• Proven expertise and practical experience in nanoparticle assembly & characterization, preferably lipid- or polymer-based nanoparticles.

• Sound knowledge of biophysical and physicochemical characterization techniques such as SAXS, DSC, NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, DLS, TEM etc.

• 1-2 years of relevant industry experience would be advantageous.
